Pro

The AI assistant requires an active SnipCraft Pro license and a connected cloud account. Generation runs through the SnipCraft AI gateway; your monthly token usage is tracked per account and shown as a usage bar in the AI panel.

Generating a snippet

  1. Open the AI panel. From the snippet editor, click the AI tab to generate or improve code in place. To create a new snippet from scratch, choose AI: Describe it from the one-click generators list.
  2. Type a plain-English description of what you need, up to 500 characters. For example: "Redirect /old-page to /new-page with a 301 status code."
  3. Select a snippet type: PHP, CSS, JavaScript, or HTML.
  4. Click Generate. SnipCraft forwards your prompt to the AI gateway and returns the result in the preview pane.
  5. Review the generated code. Add a follow-up note and click Improve to refine it, then accept. Enable the snippet only after you are satisfied with the output.

Usage & limits

Each cloud account has a monthly token quota; the exact amount depends on your plan. The usage bar in the AI panel shows tokens consumed against your cap. Requests are also rate-limited per minute. If the monthly quota is exceeded, the panel shows a quota-exceeded message and generation is blocked until the quota resets at the start of the next billing period.
